To me, Essie’s Fall 2015 collection was really amazing. When I saw it for the first time I wanted to have every shade. Unfortunately for me, I didn’t buy any of them. Up until the collection was discontinued and the bottles ended up in the discount bins and TKmaxx. I already showed you some nail art with the bronze color, Leggy Legend. Bell-bottom blues was one of the shades that I found at the discount section of my local drugstore and I just had to take with me.
You can immediately see one of the reasons why I hate buying polishes from drugstores. They always put a anti-theft label on the bottle, which is impossible to remove. Really annoying if you ask me. That’s why I like to look at the polishes is stores but then buy them on-line 😉 But, in the end, it’s the polish inside that counts. Bell-bottom blues is an amazing dark blue shimmer nail polish. The color is not bright blue, but it is a little bit dusty and it contains some green. I really like it! Bell-bottom blues is dark and mysterious and the shimmer really makes the polish pop!
The formula is also amazing! Bell-bottom blues was opaque in only one coat. I applied two for these pictures, since it deepened the color a little bit more. But if you are in a hurry, you can definitely get away with only one coat. There was a time that I didn’t like shimmer polishes, especially since they always looked streaky. That’s not the case with this one, the shimmer reminds me of car paint! Which is definitely a good thing.
Although this polish is discontinued, it is still available at a couple of web-shops, such as Bol.com. Maybe it is still available in some stores, but probably in the discount section. If you can still find it somewhere, I would definitely recommend you to take it with you! It’s the perfect blue for Fall and Winter!
