My jaw dropped when I read on Instagram that the Essie Fall 2020 collection was spotted. Apparently Essie released the Essie Fall collection a little bit early this year (it is only June!). I will show you everything I know about this collection so far, but nothing is officially released yet. Edit: Know that I am editing this, it is actually September, and a lot more information about this collection is available at the moment. Read further to find out everything I know and for some swatches.
The Essie Fall 2020 collection is called Waterfall in love (haha) and has a jungle theme. Apparently in some places this collection is going to be called Heart of the jungle, it is exactly the same collection though.
This is what Essie says about this collection:
this fall, prepare for your cargo cameo because you’re about to waterfall in love with the thrilling heart of the jungle! take a leap of faith among the vibrant birds of paradise and embrace the adrenaline brush. naturally, it will take some time to get into the swing of things while you trek forward! but remember, looks can thrill between these leafy bends so don’t be spotted by any fast friends!
- 6 vibrant shades inspired by a thrilling trek through the heart of the jungle
- salon quality formula for flawless coverage
- our exclusive easy glide brush for professional application on nails
- from the essie collection, which has produced more than 1,000 shades
It is clear that Essie has hidden some of the shade names in this text! So basically the heart of the jungle collection is a jungle themed collection with 6 shades. 4 out of 6 shades are regular cremes. 2 out of 6 are shimmers. It is pretty weird, but I find that this collection has a similar vibe as the Bustling Bazaar collection. I think a lot of people will like the red (adrenaline brush) and the purple (swing of things) but they are not really unique. The yellow shimmer (don’t be spotted) and green (heart of the jungle) are very on-trend. I guess the brown shimmer (cargo cameo) one really fits the season and the blue (waterfall in love) looks like the color of the year 2020 Classic Blue. The more I look at this collection the better I like it. It is very cheerful and colorful for a fall collection, while still maintaining Fall vibes.
Update September 2020: Now that I actually found this collection in a store near me, I actually know for a fact that this collection is going to be extremely popular! In one store only don’t be spotted, waterfall in love and cargo cameo were left and in another store not even cargo cameo was there anymore. One thing I want to say is that I found Don’t be spotted much more orange toned than any of the swatched I have seen. It might be the settings of my laptop, but it might also be that this color is just extremely difficult to photograph. I think however, that some of you might appreciate this info before buying. I liked don’t be spotted better after seeing it in real life!
Personally, I basically like all the color in this collection (however, I have ten shades similar to adrenaline brush). Since I don’t want to pick up the complete collection I am still over-analyzing which one to pick. Maybe next year I will have solved the problem, and will be able to show you my own swatches 😉
