I know I’m a bit later than usual with posting OPI’s fall 2024 collection. I’ve already posted a preview of their Holiday 2024 collection, basically because I’m personally more excited about that collection. I still think the fall collection deserves some attention too.
As seems to be normal recently for OPI, the fall collection consists of a twelve-piece nail lacquer line and a nine-piece infinite shine collection. A couple of years ago, these lines always used to be the same shades, but OPI has changed it up, and now the two collections are completely different, while still within the bigger overarching theme (metallics).
Starting with the 12-piece nail lacquer collection: the 12 shades all have the same metallic finish, so if you’re not a metallic nail polish lover, you can easily skip this collection and move to the Holiday collection. Otherwise, you’re probably going to love this collection.
The shades are going to be called:
- You’ve got nail (an indigo metallic)
- Y2slay (a blue metallic)
- Chrome clawz (silver metallic)
- Liquid fire (an orange-red metallic with gold shimmer)
- Supernova pearl (a rose-gold metallic)
- Cyber cherry on top ( a magenta pink shimmer)
- CosMIC drop (a pink/purple metallic)
- Cyborn again (a lighter pink/purple metallic)
- Millenium mocha (golden brown metallic)
- Metallic rewind (a gold metallic)
- CD Rom-antic ( a red metallic)
- saTURN me on (a gold-green metallic)

The colors of the nine-piece Infinite Shine collection are called:

- 2000 Karats (gold metallic)
- Cos-mo money (green metallic)
- DeJa RoUgE (magenta metallic)
- Funmetal (gunmetal metallic)
- Lip Pink Battle (medium pink metallic)
- MilleniYUM (teal metallic)
- Sheen’s all that (light pink metallic)
- Stellar tips (rose gold metallic)

Conclusion and availability
These shades should already be available everywhere right now. I’m pleased that OPI went with an accurate Y2K theme, as this metallic finish is really something you would see a lot during Y2K. That being said, there were also a lot of awesome shimmer polishes, so I hope OPI will also bring back some of those.
For me personally, I’m not really sure if I’m going to pick up any of these. I already own a lot of OPI metallics from the early 2000s and late 90s and I don’t really need more. Some colors that really speak to me though are Millenium Mocha, Saturn me on and Y2Slay, as they seem to be really unique.
