It’s been a while since I actually posted here. To be honest, I’ve just been insanely busy with renovating our house and defending my PhD (yes, I’m finally a dr. now!). Also, being away from my collection did not help much. When I came across Essie’s collaboration with Disney’s Snow White, I knew this was a collection I did not want to skip. Essie’s Snow White collection is an eight-piece collection, which is an insane amount for an Essie collection. I picked up the four shades that seemed the coolest to me: Seize the crown (a green shimmer), Just take a bite (a red shimmer), Tempted with envy (a purple shimmer), and Fiercest of them all (a purple flakie top coat).
Essie Seize the crown

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a green shimmer/glitter from Essie like Seize the crown. Seize the crown is probably my favorite polish from the four shades that I picked up. It’s a deep emerald green with glitter/shimmer pieces that are too small for being glitter but too big for being pure shimmer.
I did have to use three coats to reach opacity, but it was so worth it!
Just a bit of a warning: this polish did stain my nails!
Essie Just take a bite

In the end, I feel like I could have skipped Just take a bite. Just take a bite is a bright red with gold shimmer. The gold shimmer is visible in the bottle, but it very difficult to see on the nail. This polish has an amazing formula, and it was basically opaque in one coat!
Essie Tempted with envy

Tempted with envy is another amazing shade. It’s a dark purple with an incredible blue/purple shimmer. I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen anything like this before from Essie.
In the picture, I’m wearing two coats. It kind of looks like my nails needed a third coat, but that is just because of my bright light that I use for photography, in real life it was completely fine.
Also just a warning: this polish also stained my nails!
Essie Fiercest of them all

Finally we have the special effect topper that I purchased: Essie Fiercest of them all. This is a magenta/purple jelly with gold/orange flakes. I’m wearing two coats here over OPI skate to the party ( a lilac creme). For me, this shade is too sheer to wear on it’s own, but if you are into translucent nails, you can definitely wear it on it’s own. It does give a very nice purple sheen over lighter shades.
Conclusion
For me personally, this collection is probably the most exciting collection Essie has released in a while. Maybe it’s because I own so much nail polish, but most Essie collection don’t seem so special to me anymore, but this one is definitely an exception. The Essie Snow White collection should be available everywhere right now, so if you have the opportunity to purchase them, I definitely would!
